Integrated Genomics Signs Research Agreement with Archer-Daniels-Midland Company

CHICAGO, IL and Decatur, IL - August 3, 1998

Integrated Genomics, Inc. (IG), a Chicago-based biotechnology company, announced today that it has entered into a research agreement with Archer-Daniels-Midland Company of Decatur, IL. Under the terms of the agreement, IG will provide research services for ADM in the areas of IG expertise, including DNA sequencing and bioinformatics.

IG President Robert Haselkorn said that the fit between ADM's needs and IG's capabilities is excellent. IG's Research Director, Michael Fonstein, stated that he is hopeful the contract represents only the first step in a long-term program beneficial to both parties.
